TE PAPAIOEA PROGRAMME

To The Front Te Papaioea is a series of youth music programmes open to youth aged 12-17 years who are women, transgender, intersex, takatāpui, and gender diverse.

At the programme they learn instruments, form bands, write original songs, and perform at a showcase, all guided by musicians and industry professionals. Alongside collaborative learning, participants take part in workshops about DIY merchandise, mindfulness, and performance skills. Each day they enjoy lunchtime performances from local artists.
